Current research
Cancer Council SA uses a percentage of its income to support a wide range of research activities in South Australia. Cancer Council SA grants for cancer research in South Australia are independently peer reviewed and competitive. Funds are available for cancer related laboratory, clinical, epidemiological and behavioural research. Cancer Council SA cancer research funding includes a number of three year cancer research fellowships, a scientific travel grants-in-aid program, a visiting professor scheme and vacation scholarships for science students. The quantum of research funding provided by Cancer Council is over $2M each year.
