Practical assistance
When you have cancer it affects more than just your physical health. It can cause anxiety and distress (for both yourself and your family and friends), as well as raising practical issues.
You may have financial issues. You may have a reduced income at a time when there are increased demands for things such as medication costs, travel, heating and cooling and so on. It is often difficult to talk about your financial situation, but you may be able to get some help. See the social worker at your treatment centre to talk about finding the help you need.
For information on cancer and support services see Cancer? We can help or call Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20.
